Our USA States and Capitals – Spanish Version App is a fun and easy-to-use tool for learning the names of each of the 50 United States of America along with their capital cities in Spanish language. The program features a Maps section, a States Section, and a Quiz section. The maps section has easy to read maps of the United States with the states names and abbreviations.
The States section has a colorful detailed map for each of the 50 states including the capital city name and its location within each state. With the display of each map, the name of the state and capital city are narrated for the student to hear the proper Spanish pronunciation. The state maps also depict some of the highlights of the state such as agriculture, manufacturing, major rivers and famous landmarks. Touching the state map will take the student to a state detail page which contains text information such as date and order of statehood; state flower, bird and tree; an image of the state flag; a description of the states location; and some miscellaneous facts pertaining to the state.
The Spanish Quiz section has an area to review all the states names with their related capitals, and a 50 question multiple choice quiz for identifying the capital city of each state. If the student selects the wrong answer during the quiz, a message pops up to tell them what the correct answer should have been, thus helping the student to learn. The score is tallied as the student progresses through the quiz. After answering the last question, the student is taken to the results page to see their final score. A report of the results may be emailed from this page for record keeping (internet connectivity required).
This application is completely self-contained and does not require internet connection except for emailing the optional quiz results report. It is an excellent tool to use by the individual student or for an entire class.
